Vande Bharat, the country’s first semi-high speed train, completed four years on Wednesday. In the year 2019, the first Vande Bharat Express ran on the New Delhi-Varanasi route. Since then till now there is tremendous demand for this train. This train from New Delhi to Varanasi arrives at 2:00 PM and leaves an hour later at 3:00 PM.
The country’s first Vande Bharat Express has 1148 seats. Initially, less people used to travel by this train. But, gradually the number of people traveling by this train increased. According to statistics, the Vande Bharat Express on the Mumbai-Gandhinagar route has the highest number of tickets. At the same time, the Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express is included in the lowest.
The average occupancy rate of Vande Bharat trains is 100.72 per cent. The occupancy rate on the Mumbai-Gandhinagar route is 126%. On the other hand, the occupancy rate in Varanasi, the country’s first New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express, is 125.76 percent. According to Cantt Railway Station Director Gaurav Dixit, the number of people traveling by train has increased.
