MUMBAI: The Sooraj Barjatya directorial Uunchai film has been released at the box office. The film has opened well at the box office in India. The makers may have had a limited release on 483 screens with 1500 shows, yet ‘Uchhai’ has stunned everyone by doing a business of around Rs 1.60 crore to 1.85 crore on its first day. The film received support from families and elders on the day itself and the initial reports are encouraging. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is appearing in the lead role in this film. Before the release of ‘Uchai’, the actor was seen in important roles in films like ‘Good Bye’ and ‘Jhund’.
The film ‘Good Bye’ did a business of Rs 90 lakh on the first day at the Bose office and ‘Jhund’ did a business of Rs 1.10 crore on the first day. In comparison to all this, ‘Uachai’ has done well at the office.
