Various government departments of Uttar Pradesh have got 266 Assistant Engineers. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) declared the selection result of Combined State Engineering Service (General/Special Selection) Examination-2021 on Thursday. Due to non-availability of suitable candidates, 17 posts have remained vacant.
The commission had conducted the examination for recruitment to 283 posts, which included 271 general selection posts and 12 special selection posts. In the written test, 892 candidates were declared successful for the interview. 869 candidates appeared in the interview held from 17 October to 15 November 2022. The commission releases the final selection result 15 days after the completion of the interview.

Assistant Engineer posts in PWD, Housing and Urban Planning Department, UP Housing and Development Board, Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply, Industrial Development Department, Rural Engineering Department, Agriculture Department, Information and Public Relations Department, Urban Development Department, Minor Irrigation Department Has been recruited. At the same time, candidates have been selected for 10 posts of Chief Fire Officer.
In the UP Housing and Development Board, the maximum number of 76 posts of Assistant Engineer have been selected. According to the secretary of the commission, Alok Kumar, the final result of the recruitment will be subject to the final decision on the petition filed in the High Court and the result of women candidates outside UP will be passed on the special appeal filed by the state government in the High Court. .
