Candidates applying for the main examination of Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service Civil Judge (Junior Division) Examination-2022 will also have to do one time registration under the new system of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). The commission has made OTR mandatory for all its examinations from April 1, 2023.

However, the advertisement for PCS J-2022 was released on 10th December last year and the preliminary exam was conducted on 12th February 2023. The system of OTR was not implemented at the time of application, but now after the result of the preliminary examination of PCS J-2022, successful candidates will also have to compulsorily register for the main examination.

There are 303 posts of PCS J to be recruited. These include 123 posts of unreserved category, 81 of OBC, 63 of SC, six of ST and 30 of EWS. The main examination of PCS J is proposed on 23, 24 and 25 May 2023. According to the guidelines issued by the commission, all the candidates who will be successful for the main examination will need the OTR number to apply for the main examination.
