The Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Commission (UPHESC) on Wednesday released the revised result of the written examination for recruitment to 41 posts of Assistant Professor Law under advertisement number-50 in non-government aided colleges. The interview of the candidates declared successful will be held on January 4 and 5.

Earlier, the Commission had declared 142 candidates successful for the interview in the written examination, but the recruitment got stuck due to the controversy over the questions. On the orders of the High Court, the commission had to modify the result of the written examination. This time 150 candidates have been declared successful for the interview. The number of successful candidates has increased, but some previously successful candidates have been out of merit and new candidates have been given place in the merit of the revised result.

Among the 150 candidates who have been declared successful for the interview in the revised result released after revaluation, 53 belong to the unreserved category, 23 belong to the economically weaker section, 55 belong to the other backward class, 16 belong to the scheduled caste and three belong to the scheduled tribe category. candidates are included. There are also three disabled candidates among them.

Candidates who have secured minimum 138.78 in unreserved category, 138.78 in EWS, 136.73 in OBC, 124.49 in SC category, 91.84 in ST category and minimum 130.61 in PwD quota in written examination have been invited for interview. Candidates can download their interview letter from the commission’s portal uphesc2021.co.in from the afternoon of 17 December.

There was discrepancy in the answer of three questions

There was a dispute regarding three subjects in the written examination for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor of Law. The candidates had filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court for discrepancy in answers to question numbers 72, 74 and 100 in the ‘A’ series question booklet. On the orders of the court, the commission had to revise the result.

Result of Assistant Professor Home Science also revised
Due to the discrepancy in the written examination, the commission has declared two candidates successful for the interview in the written examination of Assistant Professor Home Science in compliance with the order of the High Court, whose interview will be held on January 4. However, the process of selection on 12 posts of Home Science has been completed and the selected candidates have also got appointment. In the revised result, out of the two candidates who have been declared successful for the interview by the commission, one is unreserved and one candidate belongs to EWS category. If both these candidates are declared finally selected after the interview, then the candidates who have been appointed earlier will have to lose their jobs.

Dr. Shivji has been given the charge of Secretary, UPHESC.
The government has deputed Dayanand Prasad, who was the secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Commission (UPHESC), to the Kumbh Mela. He has taken up a new responsibility. He has also had the experience of 2013 and 2019 Kumbh. In view of this, he was given this responsibility. In his place, Dr. Shivji Malviya, Deputy Secretary of the Commission, will now look after the charge of the Secretary. Commission Chairman Prof. Ishwar Sharan Vishwakarma told that Dr. Shivji Malviya will take over the responsibility of the secretary till the arrival of the new secretary.
