The Directorate of Higher Education has sent a recommendation to the government to cancel the selection of selected candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in government colleges in the year 2021 if they do not join.
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission had declared the selection result for the posts of Assistant Professor in 2021 under direct recruitment. Out of the candidates who were declared selected, 31 candidates did not join. Some candidates went to the court regarding this matter, then the Directorate of Higher Education called for information from the colleges, after which it was found that 31 candidates have not joined.
According to the rules of the Personnel Department, the maximum time of three months is given to the candidate to join. In special circumstances, this period can be extended for three months, but not more than six months is given in some cases. Sources in the Directorate of Higher Education said that for not joining even after six months, the Directorate has sent a recommendation to the government to cancel the selection of 31 candidates.
