Lucknow: Even before the Global Investors Summit (Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit-2023), Uttar Pradesh has so far received proposals for industries worth Rs 15 lakh crore. Seeing the enthusiasm of domestic and foreign investors, the Yogi government has already increased the target of the Global Investors Summit from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh crore. Officials of the Industrial Development Department believe that the speed with which investment proposals are being received and MoUs are being signed, it seems that the target will be achieved even before the conference. After abroad, road shows are being organized in major cities of the country where a large number of investment proposals are being received and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are also being signed.
Along with this, proposals for setting up industries are being sought by organizing district-wise investor conferences in the state as well. Officials say that according to the enthusiasm of investors being seen, before the Global Investors Conference Only then will you be able to touch the figure of Rs 17 lakh crore. Officials say that till January 10, not only investment proposals worth Rs 15 lakh crore have come, but MoUs worth Rs 10 lakh crore have also been signed.
This department has achieved three times the investment proposal of the target
The Department of Additional Energy Sources has received three times the investment proposal of the given target. The department was given a target of Rs 60,000 crore, while MoUs worth Rs 1.73 lakh crore have been signed so far. The Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (UPCIDA) has also managed to meet the revised target of Rs 1 lakh crore. The Tourism Department has signed MoUs worth Rs 38,000 crore against the target of Rs 40,000 crore, while the Energy Department has received investment proposals worth Rs 75,000 crore. Energy Department has been given a target of investment of one lakh crore rupees.

The IT and Electronics Department was given the highest target of Rs 1.60 lakh crore, against which it has so far received proposals worth about Rs one lakh crore. At the same time, the Handloom and Textile Department has also signed MoUs worth Rs 27,000 crore. According to the Nivesh Sarathi portal of the Uttar Pradesh government, so far 8,000 investment proposals have been received by various departments. Out of these, the state government has also signed MoUs for 7,000 proposals. Apart from this, the process of signing MoUs for about 1,400 proposals is going on fast. The total cost of the projects for which MoUs are to be signed is Rs 3.76 lakh crore.
