Bindeshwari Prasad of Child Welfare Committee got the girl’s father to write that he would marry only after the daughter attains majority. The father agreed to this.

The contractors of the society had taken the contract of marriage

The alleged responsibilities of the society also put a lot of pressure on the police to get the minor married to a person who is almost three times her age. Under their pressure, the Saraiqil police agreed that only the engagement would take place, but the marriage would not take place.
