Taking the Bharat Jodo Yatra, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi reached the high village of Kairana at 9.15 am. Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh held a press conference at 11 am. He said that for the first time Congress has recognized the discrimination of ideologies. Electoral politics is different. It may take five or ten years for us to come to power. Before this, the hatred that has spread in every corner of the world has to be ended. The Congress leader said that the padyatra has been taken out to understand the public’s concern. This is not a journey to win elections. Congress workers will be enthused by this visit. There is a threat to democracy and society from the Modi government, it is being told during the yatra.
He said that RLD workers and leaders have welcomed the yatra at various places. Apart from this, the leaders of Samajwadi and Bahujan Samaj Party have welcomed the yatra through letters. Bharat Jodo Yatra is more threatened by the roads in Uttar Pradesh than by the cold. The condition of the roads is very bad. During this Brijlal Khabri, Akhilesh Pratap Singh, Doli Sharma and Supriya Sharma etc. were present.
Answer given on Kairana exodus
During the press conference, the Congress leaders were asked that the issue of exodus from Kairana was raised by the BJP leaders six years back. After which Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced the establishment of PAC camp in Uncha village of Kairana. Has BJP done this good work? To which Congress leader Doli Sharma replied that the BJP had lost its seat at that time. The answer of the public is clear. The lies of the BJP could not mislead the people here.
Priyanka Gandhi did not participate in Bharat Jodo Yatra
As part of the programme, there was talk of Priyanka Gandhi’s arrival in Bharat Jodo Yatra reaching Kairana. As soon as former Congress President Rahul Gandhi started Bharat Jodo Yatra from Alum on Thursday. During this, Priyanka Gandhi, in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, did not appear in the yatra.
