The ticket contenders in the civic elections will be out of the screening committee for BJP candidate selection. It is clearly stated in the guidelines of the party that the office bearers claiming the ticket will not be involved in the screening committee or the decision making process. According to the guidelines issued on Monday by BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chowdhary, the announcement of ward candidates in Nagar Panchayat will be done at the district level with the consent of regional organizations of BJP. The municipality ward candidate will be announced by the regional BJP with the permission of the state headquarters. Announcement of Municipal Corporation Mayor, Municipal Corporation Ward candidate, Municipality President and Nagar Panchayat President candidate will be done from the state headquarters.
Applications will be taken from the claimants till 16 Municipal election in-charges and co-in-charges and district in-charges have been instructed to take applications from the claimants in their respective districts by December 16 and take forward the screening process. The panel corporation election in-charge and co-in-charge for the mayor candidate will be handed over directly to State President Bhupendra Chaudhary and General Secretary Organization Dharampal. The panel of ward candidates of corporation, municipality and town panchayat president will be given to the state headquarters through the regional president. The panel of municipal ward candidates will be given to the regional president.
Jumbo screening committee will be formed in the district A jumbo screening committee will be formed at the district level for the civic elections. In this, district election in-charge, district in-charge, district president, district election coordinator, district general secretary, state office bearer from district, regional office bearer, MP, MLA, Rajya Sabha member, MLC and outgoing district president will also be included.
