Lucknow / Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a review meeting at Prayagraj auditorium to review the actions being taken by the administration for control and prevention of dengue. It was told by senior officials that at present, there has been a continuous decrease in dengue patients for the last five days. There is no need to panic about dengue. Mosquitoes become sluggish when the temperature drops in the cold season, which reduces the spread of dengue. The Deputy Chief Minister inquired about the availability of beds from the officials, on which he was informed that 32 beds are vacant in Dengue Ward in Swarooprani Hospital. There are 22 vacant beds in Tej Bahadur Sapru Hospital and 36 in Cantonment Hospital. About 300 beds are vacant in the major hospitals of Prayagraj.

According to the instructions of the Deputy Chief Minister, separate dengue wards have been arranged in all government hospitals, where all facilities like ventilator, oxygen and other facilities are available. Apart from this, a separate team has also been formed for the treatment of dengue, which is continuously taking care of it. Mosquito nets are provided on all the beds. Serious patients have been referred from many places in Swarooprani Hospital and have been saved by getting better treatment. Special care is also required at the time of treatment. Do not take medicines without doctor’s advice.

Spray medicines to DPRO

Use only paracetamal medicine for fever. Do not take other medicine for fever. Use appropriate amount of fluids to avoid dengue disease. Not all patients require admission, only those whose platelets are less than 20 thousand, then immediately admit them to government hospitals. Use full sleeve clothes to cover the body in the morning and evening. Caution is also needed regarding the use of platelets. Platelets of any blood group can be used. No more than two units of platelets are required at a time. After getting the platelets checked again, use platelets only on the advice of the doctor. The Deputy Chief Minister has directed the Municipal Commissioner in the schools of the city area and the DPRO in the schools of the rural area to get the medicines sprayed. He has asked for the spraying of medicines as per the standard.

The Deputy Chief Minister has asked to ensure the availability of medicines at the doorstep of the dengue patient with the help of ASHA and ANM. Do not allow water to collect around your homes, pay special attention to cleanliness. Motivate people to donate blood voluntarily, so that there is no shortage of platelets. Ward wise team of cleaning workers formed

It was also informed in the meeting that for the prevention of infectious diseases and dengue, the work of continuous cleaning, spraying of anti-larva, cleaning of the drain is being done by the Municipal Corporation. At present, the Municipal Corporation has constituted a ward wise team of 352 sanitation workers under the leadership of 18 cleaning and food inspectors, 101 Safai Nayak in 8 zones of the city, regularly spraying antilarva and fogging work as per roster and cleaning of drains and malathion. Casting work is being done. In this work, 8 big fogging machines, 110 cycle mounted fogging machines, 190 anti larva spray machines and zone wise water sprinkler machines and 5 publicity vehicles have been deployed in the campaign, whose supervisor is Nodal Officer of all 8 zones, Zonal Sanitary Officer, Chief Sanitary Inspector Done through. Apart from this, officers from the Municipal Corporation have also been posted in the control room, in which the complaints received related to the corporation are disposed of on priority. Against 409 complaints received in the control room, 402 have been resolved and action is being taken for source reduction under public awareness.
