Ballia/Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage by unveiling a grand statue of former Prime Minister Jannayak Chandrashekhar at Chandrashekhar Garden. After this, he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 46 projects costing 80 crores to the people of Ballia. During this, he distributed tool kits to 750 destitute women to make them self-reliant and self-reliant, as well as flagged off trucks for export of vegetables. The Chief Minister distributed certificates to Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).

For former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar, the interest of the country was paramount

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that while giving a new identity to Ballia, former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar gave a face to the politics of India in independent India which was above party politics. He did politics of values and ideals. This is the reason that there is no place in the whole country including Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Maharashtra to Gujarat, Northeast India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh where his fans are not present. He knew how to build and discharge relationships with every person.

The CM said that when it comes to the politics of values, his name remains paramount. When attempts were made to stop the country’s democracy, he became vocal against it. Not only this, when the Swadeshi movement started within the country, it became popular with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh by supporting it. In the Parliament of the country, no party or any MP could make indecent remarks against Chandrashekhar because he knew that the interest of the country is paramount for a person of stupid nature who is talking about values and ideal politics. At the unveiling of the statue of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar, I was told that it was made by a handicraft artist from Azamgarh, which stunned me.

Take full advantage of the inland waterway service built between Haldia to Varanasi

CM Yogi said that today is important for Ballia in many ways, where on one hand the statue of the former Prime Minister was unveiled, on the other hand, 46 projects costing 80 crores were inaugurated and foundation stone was given to Ballia. Not only this, through the Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in Ballia, the truck was flagged off to take fresh vegetables to the international market. The Prime Minister says time and again that if the farmer’s income is to be doubled, then this journey from seed to market has to be made easy. This is a new episode in that journey. With this, the farmers here will get a good price for the vegetables.

CM said that the inland waterway service started between Haldia to Varanasi, which will pass through Ballia. In such a situation, it can play an important role in facilitating the export of fresh vegetables of Ballia as Saryu is found on one side and Ganga on one side in Ballia. There is no shortage of water in the Ganges, easily through water transport in every season will help us to bring the agricultural products here to the global market. This will increase the income of the farmers of the district as well as increase the income of the district. Along with this, employment will also be created and when the income of the district increases, then the per capita income will increase. This will increase the GDP of the district as well as the GDP of the state. In such a situation, the goal of making the state a one trillion economy, which has been given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this goal can be easily achieved.

Connect the women of Ballia with Milk Producer Company and Nutrition Mission

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that very good work can be done to advance women self-help groups in Ballia. He asked the local district administration to connect the women of Self Help Groups here with Milk Producer Company and Nutrition Mission. Balini Milk Producer Company was started for three to five women in Bundelkhand, today 41 thousand women are associated with it due to their hard work. She does an annual business of 150 crores and also earns an annual profit of 14 to 15 crores. The women here should also be involved in readymade garments, there are immense possibilities in this. During the time that the women of the village get after the household work, if they learn the work of sewing embroidery and after that the work of making clothes, its packaging gets fixed, as well as then it is combined with the system of giving it in the market. If so, the income of many people can be increased. It can play a big role in advancing women’s independence.

To promote tourism, the local district administration should make a proposal

CM Yogi said that if the farmers here put a little more effort in farming, then this income can be increased manifold. Here, with a little effort and the use of inland waterway facility, its successful results will be seen. The CM said that tourism of a city gives strength to the entire economy. In Varanasi, more than one crore devotees visited Baba Vishwanath Dham in the month of Sawan, due to which there was employment from hotel industry to taxis, shopkeepers, restaurants, pando etc. In such a situation, the district administration should make a proposal to promote tourism in Ballia. The government will cooperate a lot in this. He stressed on the need to increase the number of doctors in the hospital of Ibrahim Patti, the birthplace of former PM Chandrashekhar, to connect more and more people to the Ayushman Bharat of the Central Government and the Jan Arogya Yojana of the State Government.

He asked the district administration to send a concrete proposal of land to the state government in time to set up a medical college so that it can be taken forward. After independence, only 12 medical colleges were built in the state in 70 years from 1947 to 2017. At the same time, 35 new government medical colleges are being built between 2017 and 2022. He said that if the land had been received in time, then out of these 35 medical colleges, Ballia would have got one medical college, but due to non-availability of land, Ballia lagged behind it. We have to take this on top priority because having a medical college in Ballia will provide treatment facilities not only to Ballia but also to the people of Bihar adjoining areas.
