UP News: Challenge in case of cancellation of admission, answer sought from IVI A to Z Counsel

The Allahabad High Court has sought response from the university and college management on cancellation of admission of LLM student in CMP Degree College affiliated to Allahabad University. The student has challenged the order of cancellation of admission without assigning any reason in the High Court.

Justice Salil Rai has given this order on the petition of Amitabh Singh. The college management has suddenly canceled the admission of the petitioner in LLM course without assigning any reason. Whereas, he has deposited the fees for the entire session and the classes are also going on. Before canceling the admission, neither any notice was issued to the student nor he was given an opportunity to present his case. This is a violation of the principles of natural justice.

The advocate said that the college management had issued the wrong cut off merit. Later on realizing his mistake, he canceled the admission of the student. While there is no fault of the student in releasing the wrong cut off merit. He is being punished for the mistake of the management. Doing this will ruin the entire career of the student.
