Mafia Mukhtar Ansari’s brother MP Afzal Ansari was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) till 2 pm on Sunday. After this he was released. The ED has sent summons for questioning to several close relatives and friends of Mukhtar including MP Afzal Ansari. Afzal reached the ED’s Civil Lines office during the day on Sunday. Where ED officers started questioning him. The questioning of the MP continued till two o’clock in the night. After this he was released. The officials told him that he would be called again for questioning. On Sunday, Afzal was asked in detail about his properties.
The connection of these properties with the Mukhtar and the sources of income were also known. Most of the partners of Vikas Construction have transacted in their accounts. ED took complete information about relations and transactions from all the partners. Apart from this, questions were also asked about where he has invested, the role of his relatives and close friends in benami companies. Afzal was questioned about Mukhtar’s son Abbas and brother-in-law Atif.
ED has issued summons to many close relatives of Mukhtar but not all of them came to ED’s office. Afzal Ansari was questioned about his location and about him. After interrogating Afzal, the ED now faces the challenge of interrogating Mukhtar’s wife Afshan Ansari. Afshan has been summoned for questioning. Even the look out notice has been issued. According to sources, Afshan and his maternal uncle can give important information in the case of Vikas Construction.
Mukhtar’s MLA nephew Shoaib was also summoned ED has sent summons to Mukhtar’s MLA nephew Shoaib Ansari Mannu for questioning.
