UP: Death of Munir, accused of killing NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed and his wife, was lodged in Sonbhadra jail A to Z Counsel

NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed, a resident of Seohara in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, and Munir, the main accused in the murder case of his wife Farzana, died due to illness in Sonbhadra Jail. On the night of April 2, 2016, Munir Ahmed shot dead NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed and his wife Farzana while returning from the Seohara wedding ceremony.

Munir has been a notorious criminal, 33 cases are registered
Notorious gangster Munir, who was sentenced to death in the Tanzil murder case, has been a notorious criminal. There are 33 cases registered against him. There are 15 cases against him in Aligarh itself. Eight cases have been registered in Bijnor. Many cases are also registered in Delhi and other places.

If police records are to be believed, the first case against Munir was registered in the year 2013 at Aligarh’s Civil Line police station. After this, the case of robbery in Delhi’s Jamia Nagar was also written in the year 2013 itself. In the same year, two more cases took place in Aligarh. In the year 2014, ten cases were registered against Munir in Aligarh and Delhi. In the year 2014 itself, a case of robbery and murder took place in Jaffrabad, Delhi. In the same year, another murder case was registered against Munir in Delhi’s Rupnagar police station. After Delhi, in the year 2014, a case of murder was also registered in Aligarh. In Lucknow too, two cases including one of murder are registered against Munir.

Munir had spread sensation by killing NIA officer

Six years ago in the year 2016, Munir created a sensation by killing NIA Deputy SP Tanzil Ahmed and his wife. This massacre resonated across the country. In fact, the NIA officers involved in the investigation of Pathankot attack came to Bijnor to attend the wedding. Munir had carried out this double murder with a revolver looted from Aligarh.

Munir’s old association with robbery and murder
Munir has an old connection with the incidents of murder and robbery. On November 29, 2014, Munir had looted Rs 1.5 crore from an ATM in Kamla Market and shot dead the guard. In the year 2013, a contractor was shot dead and his revolver snatched in Aligarh. In 2014, there was an allegation of snatching a pistol from a GRP constable in Aligarh. Munir had also executed the bank robbery in Aligarh.
