At the same time, after the announcement of the date of the by-election, on Tuesday, SDM Abhishek Kumar and CO Shakeel Ahmed took down the hoardings, posters and banners of political parties in the town, along with the police and Nagar Panchayat employees.
Officials said that the model code of conduct has come into force as soon as the by-elections were announced. Hoardings, banners and posters of political parties located in or around the town will be taken down. If any person violates the code of conduct, then strictest action will be taken against him.
After the announcement of the by-election, the administration has become active. Along with SDM Jeet Singh Rai, CO Rakesh Singh, Tehsildar Aarti Yadav, Municipal EO KK Sonkar took a meeting of the officers of the municipality including Tehsil employees, Thanedars. He inquired in detail about the polling stations falling in the assembly. He directed all the employees to reach the polling stations and see their condition as well as get them corrected for voting.
Not only this, after the announcement of the dates of the by-election, the multiplication has started in the political corridors.
The dates for the by-elections were announced by issuing a letter from the Election Commission. The notification will be issued on November 10. Candidates will be able to file nominations till November 17. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on November 18. The Election Commission has fixed November 21 as the date for withdrawal of nominations. Counting of votes will take place on December 8.
