In Bijnor district, there was strict vigilance in the UP Board High School and Intermediate examinations. The effect of the government’s instructions to conduct copy-free examinations was visible. Static Magistrates reached the allotted exam centers well before the scheduled time. Mobile teams also became active about one and a half hours before the commencement of the examination. Due to the siege of the examination centers by the administration, no copycats were found on the first day. More than 2500 candidates left the exam.
UP Board Exam started at 133 centers. Static magistrates were posted at all the centres. Those who reached the examination centers at seven in the morning. The district was divided into 19 sectors and five zones for conducting the examination without cheating.
Sector Magistrate and Zonal Magistrate started monitoring since morning. The magistrates kept a special watch on the time of opening of strong room and opening of question paper packets.
Six mobile parties had taken command of the allotted areas at 6:30 in the morning itself. The mobile teams remained active till 11.15 a.m. at the end of the examination. Sealing packing of bundles of answer books was observed and monitoring was being done from the examination centers from the district control room.
2532 examinees remained absent
On the first day, there was High School Hindi paper in the first shift. 51086 institutional and individual students were registered in the examination. 48569 students took the exam. 2517 examinees remained absent. In the first shift, 195 candidates were registered in the Inter Military Science paper. 180 students took the exam. Only 15 remained absent. A total of 2532 examinees remained absent in high school and intermediate.
