This made the hands and feet of the police swell. Tried to convince the family members in the night itself. But it didn’t work out. ASP, SDM and other officers arrived on Saturday morning and talked to the father, uncle and brother of the deceased in private. The officials showed proof of the murderer being in custody, assured of severe punishment.
After this the family calmed down and cremated the dead body in the field in the afternoon. The mutilated body of a 15-year-old Class IX student, a resident of a village in Safipur Kotwali, was found at 2 o’clock on Wednesday night near a liquor contract, about seven hundred meters from the house.
Even after the dead body was found in the village, without informing or identifying the village head and other villagers, public anger spread on Thursday morning when the police kept the dead body in the post-mortem house in the night unknown. The relatives also raised questions on the working style of the police. The post-mortem of the dead body was done on Thursday.
Thereafter, the body was not cremated while waiting for the father to return from Dubai. When the father returned on Friday night, he was shocked to see the dead body of the daughter and refused to perform the last rites until the killers were arrested. CO Hrishikant Shukla assured to disclose the incident soon but he did not agree.
ASP Shashi Shekhar, SDM Nupur Goyal, Tehsildar Virag Karwariya and the force of three police stations reached on Friday morning. The ASP and SDM explained the father, uncle and brother of the deceased for two hours at the police station. He also showed the proof of the arrest of a murderer.
On this he agreed for the last rites. At two o’clock in the afternoon, the dead body of the daughter was buried near the grave (tomb) of the deceased’s grandmother and Baba in the ancestral field, one km away from the house. ASP Shashi Shekhar told that the incident will be disclosed soon.
