Under the Swachh Bharat Mission Phase-2, two biogas plants will be constructed at Bhitkuri village of Sewapuri and Madhumkhian village of Badagaon. Gas will be supplied to 20 families from each plant to be built at a cost of Rs 48 lakh. This was approved in the meeting of the Govardhan Committee held on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer Himanshu Nagpal.
Two more Compressed Biogas plants (CBG) will be constructed under the Govardhan project after Shahanshahpur of Araziline. In-charge District Panchayat Raj Officer Upendra Kumar Pandey said that on the basis of the number of cattle present in 111 cow shelters of the district, Madhumkhian village of Baragaon development block and Bhitkuri village of Sewapuri development block have been selected for CBG, where two biogas The plant will be constructed.

Capacity will be 45 cubic meters
Upendra told that the capacity of CBG to be built in 120 square meters at a cost of Rs 24 lakh in the construction of a plant will be 45 cubic metres. In which gas will be prepared by using 900 to 1200 kg cow dung per day. Which can be used to supply in the kitchens of 15 to 20 houses up to a distance of 200 meters from the plant.

A CBG plant is built in Shahanshahpur

A pre-built compressed bio gas plant has been constructed on seven acres of land in Shahanshahpur by the Govardhan Committee at a cost of Rs 23 crore. Which has been prepared in the last one year. This plant of 90 metric tonnes capacity has the capacity to produce three tonnes of biogas, 18 tonnes of solid natural fertilizers and 55 thousand liters of liquid natural fertilizers.
