Regarding the increase in fare in UP Roadways buses, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said on Wednesday that due to the increase in the price of diesel, there was a slight increase in the fare. Rent will not increase further. He clarified that even the fare of the buses had not increased for three years.
The Transport Minister, who came here to attend a program organized at Magh Mela, said in response to a question on the hike of 25 paise per km in bus fares that the prices of diesel have increased in three years. Earlier diesel was Rs 60 which is now Rs 90 per litre. For this reason, there was a slight increase in the fare. The Transport Minister said that the facilities of buses have increased. Soon new buses will also be included in the fleet of the Transport Corporation.
