The effect of fog is now visible on the operation of trains. The North Eastern Railway has canceled many trains from December 1 to February 28, while reducing the frequency of many trains.
According to Ashok Kumar, Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur-Varanasi City Express, Lichchavi Express, Varanasi-Bahraich Express and Banaras-Dehradun Terminus Doon Express will remain canceled from December 1 to February 28. Banaras-Muzaffarpur Bapudham Express 05, 07, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 & 28 December, 02, 04, 09, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25 & 30 January and 1, 6, 8, 13, 15 , will remain canceled on 20, 22 and 27 February. He informed that the Banaras-Patna Janshatabdi Express will remain canceled on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from December 1 to February 28. Durg-Chhapra Sarnath Express will not run on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from December 3 to February 27. Banaras-New Delhi Kashi Vishwanath Express will remain canceled on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from December 2 to February 27. Lucknow-Chhapra Express will remain canceled on every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from December 1 to February 26.
