- On this day, there is a tradition of calling brother home and feeding him by applying Tilak.
- Make squares out of ground rice. Apply rice slurry on brother’s hands.
- Tie Kalava in brother’s hand.
- Apply Tilak to brother. Then perform brother’s aarti.
- Feed sweets to brother. After feeding sweets, feed the brother.
- Brother must gift something to his sister.
- By doing this, the untimely death of the brother does not happen.
On this day, sisters apply Tilak to their brothers for their long life, happiness and prosperity.
