Organized crime is a major source of terrorism financing. Or gangs have close relations with terrorists. The money received from acid substances, illegal weapons and smuggling is used for terrorism. Therefore, the organized crime gangs will not have to fight for terrorism. Equal reaction and action is expected on terrorism happening anywhere in the world. There is a need to have a united, uniform and tough approach against terrorism, Modi also said.

The two-day council has been organized by the Home Ministries of various countries. These councils are attended by representatives of 77 countries. Representatives of the Councils of Pakistan and Afghanistan were not present.
