The one who drinks alcohol will die; Legislation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar

Patna : After the death of a few people in Bihar by drinking a cup of poisonous liquor, the Nitish Kumar government has started demanding a reconsideration of the prohibition policy in the state. On this, ‘If you drink poisonous liquor, you will die’, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave such a hint on Thursday.

‘The prohibition law of the Bihar government is just a show off. Yes, we want to cancel the law’, said political strategist Prashant Kishor on Thursday. However, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is firm on the prohibition of alcohol. ‘Liquor ban was not my personal wish, but the anger of the women of the state is dilela ha prativand aahe’, or the words he folded his arm. Nitish Kumar expressed displeasure for the opposition BJP commenting on the prohibition policy and for presenting this issue in the Parliament. Dr. Sagar Dulal Sinha, district surgeon and in-charge medical officer of Saranche, said that Saranche’s district surgeon and in-charge medical officer Dr. Sagar Dulal Sinha said that Janchi’s health deteriorated after drinking poisonous liquor.

Meanwhile, for the second day in a row, the BJP created ruckus in the Vidhansabha from Darubulimvaron. The CPI (ML) Liberation, which supports the ‘Grand Alliance’ government in Bihar, staged a protest outside the assembly before its work began. Demands have been made to review the draconian provisions of the prohibition law and to provide financial compensation to the bereaved family members.

Balichi number 26

The case of poisonous liquor took place on Wednesday in Saran district of Bihar. The number of dead on Wednesday used to be 21, but on Thursday itself the number reached 26. The accident took place near Mashrak and Isuapur or police station in Saran district.

‘The most drunken BJP-ruled state’

Teekali Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, who protested against the incident of Daru Bali, responded. ‘Most liquor has gone to BJP-ruled states. The number of people who died after drinking poisonous liquor is more in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. The situation in Gujarat, which has a complete ban on alcohol, is more disturbing than Bihar’, said Tejashwi Yadav while talking to journalists.
