In Arara village of Azamgarh district, a mother committed suicide by consuming poison in the grief of losing her only son. Five-year-old son died of cold diarrhea three days back. Since then she started getting worried. Sindhu Singh (30), wife of Sandesh Singh, resident of Arara village of Gambhirpur police station area, consumed poisonous substance on Wednesday morning.

When the situation worsened, the relatives took him to PHC Mohammadpur for treatment. Where the doctors declared the married woman dead after investigation. Gambhirpur police station reached the information and took the dead body from the PHC itself and sent it for postmortem.

According to relatives, the five-year-old son of the married woman had died of cold diarrhea on December 31. Since then she was troubled. Sindhu is said to be the mother of a three-year-old daughter. The incident has created chaos among the family members.
