A young man raped a girl in Varanasi’s Lalpur Pandeypur police station area and made her pregnant. Due to the fear of local law, the girl started living with the young man. When the young man with whom the girl lived became involved in criminal activities, she had to go to jail with him. On his release from jail, he was tortured for prostitution. In connection with the case, a case has been registered under the POCSO Act against the Lalpur resident youth and his three sisters in Lalpur Pandeypur police station along with the charges of rape and intimidation.
According to the victim, she was raped by a youth resident of Lalpur. She gave birth to a son in September 2019. After giving birth to the child, due to local law, she started living with the young man. After giving birth to the child, the young man and his three sisters started torturing her. In this regard, NCR was registered on May 27, 2020 at Cantt police station. The young man and his sisters took away his son. The young man she lived with was sent to jail for theft. According to the victim, she also had to go to jail because of the youth. Now the young man and his three sisters pressurize her for prostitution. Fed up with the harassment, he appealed to the police. In this regard, Inspector Cantt Prabhukant said that on the basis of the instructions of ADCP (Women Crime), investigation has been started by registering a case.
