Pimpri : Out of 5 lakh 86 thousand 598 residential and non-residential property owners in Pimpri-Chinchwad city, only 2 lakh 65 thousand property owners have registered for the last 7 years of the current financial year. Tax has been paid in months. He has got property tax of Rs 420 crore. The tax collection department of the Municipal Corporation has set a target of collecting Rs 782 crore in the next 5 months. The department has become proactive for target recovery and the drive will be launched to confiscate the property of the defaulters. Because right now about three and a half lakh taxpayers have property tax arrears.

In the period of 7 months from 1st April to 5th October, the Municipal Corporation has received an income of 420 crores from property tax. Out of these, 1 lakh 73 thousand 300 property owners have paid the maximum amount of 230 crore 82 lakh through online. RTGS has cleared the bills of 32 crore 65 lakhs of 390 property owners. 52 thousand 762 citizens have paid bills of 45 crore 65 lakh in cash and 13 thousand 562 people have paid 64 crore 29 lakh bills through cheque. At the same time, 682 people have paid Rs 24 crore 31 lakh through DD. However, till now 3 lakh 21 thousand 598 property owners have not paid tax.
