The ongoing survey regarding madrassas in Uttar Pradesh has been completed. About eight thousand madrasas have been found unrecognized in the entire state. However, in this regard by November 15, all the DMs will send the report of their respective districts to the government.
The survey of unrecognized madrasas in the state had started from September 10. By Monday, the teams have completed the survey and sent their report to the district magistrates. Most unrecognized madrasas have been found in Moradabad.

Bijnor is at number two and Basti is at third place. According to Registrar Madarsa Board Jagmohan Singh, it is being said that about eight thousand unrecognized madrasas will be found, but the exact situation will be known only after the report of the district magistrates. The three-member committee of special secretary minorities, director minorities and registrar madrasa board, formed at the government level, monitored the entire survey.
The focus was on these special points in the survey
The survey mainly asked what are the sources of income of madrasas. Also, what are the arrangements for building, water, furniture, electricity and toilets and who runs the organization? Apart from this, various points like the status of recognition, number of students and their security arrangements, syllabus and number of teachers teaching were investigated.
