UP will host MotoGP (Grand Prix motorcycle racing) for speed bike race on the lines of car race Formula One. For the first time in the country, MotoGP will be held at Buddha International Circuit in Greater Noida from 22 to 24 September. According to the organizer company Dorna Sports, who came to the Global Trade Show, this event will buzz the Budha Circuit with the broom-broom of speed bikes. Along with this, sectors like tourism, real estate will also accelerate.
The company’s Chief Relationship Officer, Baldi Rakhra, who was present at the International Pavilion of the Global Trade Show, said that we are going to launch MotoGP in India this year. The event will be under the brand name of MotoGP India. Recently, the company’s founder and CEO Carmelo Apleta has met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here after coming from Spain. After getting the full support of the Chief Minister, he is now starting the work of beautifying the Buddha International Circuit. No event has been held here since 2013.
The company’s Chief Sporting Officer Sibten Bakri said that we are ready to share our expertise and technologies to promote the sport of MotoGP bike racing. Industries can be set up in UP by giving it to Indian companies. These include manufacturing of speed bikes to manufacturing of necessary safety gear etc. If MotoGP starts, there will be a boost from tourism to real estate in Greater Noida. About one lakh people will get direct and indirect employment during the event.
1700 crores business done in Indonesia
Sibten Bakri told that we have 60 million fans in Indonesia. There are more than 60 million fans of MotoGP in India without any event. This is the reason why most speed bikes are also sold in India only. MotoGP is the second most watched sport in the world. When it was organized in Indonesia in 2022, there was a business of Rs 1700 crore. It is expected to have a financial impact of about five times in India.
