BJP won at Naved Miyan’s booth In the by-election, Congress leader and former minister Nawab Kazim Ali Khan alias Naved Miyan had given his support to the BJP candidate. Because of this, he was also expelled from the party for six years. Naved Mian had made the BJP candidate contest the election openly. He was also seen on many forums with the BJP candidate. At booth number 259 of Naved Miyan, BJP got 406 votes and SP got 52 votes. The BJP also won the booth of Naved Miyan’s PRO Kashif Khan. At booth number 426 of Mankara village, BJP got 196 votes and SP got 177 votes.
Lotus blooming at Shanu’s booth During the by-election, Fasahat Ali Khan Sanu, a close aide of Azam Khan, left the SP and joined the BJP.
