The dead body of the girl was found near Sohrauna village of Kotwali area of Kushinagar district on Tuesday afternoon near Chakrod (rough road) near the sugarcane field. There were scratch marks on his face. CO City Kundan Singh and Kotwal Raj Prakash Singh, who arrived on the information of the dead body, started the investigation with the help of dog squad. After two hours, the girl was identified as Sohrauna resident Saleha Khatoon (22) daughter Roshan. To reveal the death of the girl, the police is interrogating the close relatives of the girl in custody.
On Tuesday afternoon some people raised hue and cry after seeing the dead body of a young woman at Chakrod near a sugarcane field in Sareh of Sohrauna village. In no time a huge crowd gathered there. People informed the police about it. Police reached the spot and started investigation.
During this, the receipt of the jewelry bought from Khirkiya market two days back was found from the pocket of the girl’s clothes. When the police investigated with the help of dog squad, the sniffer dog reached the girl’s house. Within two hours, the police identified the body as that of Saleha Khatoon (22), daughter of Roshan, a resident of Sohrauna. The police took his father into custody for questioning. Kept questioning the father till late Tuesday night.
The police suspected that the close ones had a hand in the murder of the girl. That’s why the police investigated every aspect of the incident. During this, it came to light that the girl had a dispute on Monday evening. After this she went missing. His body was found on Tuesday afternoon. Some people of the village told the police that the girl wanted to get married of her own free will. There was discord in the family regarding this too. That’s why every point is being investigated.
In this regard, SP Dhawal Jaiswal said that the girl’s father and brothers are being interrogated. The post mortem report will reveal the cause of his death. The incident will be exposed within 24 hours.
