It became costly for the police to challan the lineman. The angry linesman cut off the power to the police post over the outstanding. Due to this the work in the outpost came to a standstill. Lineman Manoj Kumar, a contract worker working in Jharrekhapur Power House, was going home from office on Saturday evening.
Manoj told that police was checking vehicles in Jharrekhapur Chowki area. The police stopped his bike and issued him an online challan of Rs 1,000 for not wearing a helmet. He informed his high officials about this. On this, the Power Corporation cut off the electricity of the police post without giving any notice.

Due to this, the CCTV cameras installed in the police post were also stopped. Any untoward incident could have happened due to this. After the intervention of higher officials, Ramesh Mishra, the junior engineer of the power house himself went to the outpost and got the connection connected. He told that 5.81 lakh electricity bill is outstanding at the police post.
Inspector Alokmani Tripathi says that the Power Corporation should have given a notice to the police office about the outstanding bill. It is wrong to disconnect the connection contrary to the rules.
