Mumbai. The Election Commission on Friday recognized the faction led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as the real Shiv Sena and granted the party its original election symbol ‘bow and arrow’. Meanwhile, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has advised Uddhav Thackeray to accept the commission’s decision and adopt the new symbol.
Pawar said, “It is the decision of the Election Commission. Once the decision is taken there can be no discussion. Accept it and take a new sign. It (going away of the old symbol) is not going to have much impact as people will accept (the new symbol).”

The NCP chief said, “I remember Indira Gandhi also faced this situation. The Congress used to have the symbol of ‘two bulls with one yoke’. Later they lost it and adopted ‘Hath’ as a new symbol and the people accepted it. Similarly, people will accept the new symbol (of the Uddhav Thackeray faction).”
Uddhav Thackeray will go to the Supreme Court
It is noteworthy that the Election Commission has given this decision on the basis of majority. Uddhav Thackeray has decided to go to the Supreme Court against this decision. Thackeray has called this decision very dangerous for democracy. Along with this, he has called the Shinde group as thieves.
Thackeray said that democracy has ended in the country. Today’s decision is very unexpected. Uddhav Thackeray said that the battle is going on in the Supreme Court for almost six months. In this regard, continuous hearing will start from 21st.
Uddhav Thackeray said, “I had said that till the decision of the court comes, the Election Commission should not give any decision. Who is the party with? If who is right is decided on the basis of the number of elected representatives, then any rich person can become the leader of the party by buying MPs and MLAs. I have said this earlier also, that he can become the Prime Minister of the country, the Chief Minister of the state.
