Due to the fall in the prices of vegetables, farmers are facing a lot of problems. There are not even buyers for the cabbage that is closed in the mandis. Due to which the cost of the farmers is not being met even the cost of taking them to the far away market. Now most of the farmers have started running tractors on closed cabbage crop.

Cabbage crop closed in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh proves to be a profitable deal for the farmers. This crop of only three months gives a lot of profit. Not only this, till two months ago, the price of cabbage in the mandis was Rs 15 to 20 per kg, due to which the farmers got a lot of profit. But this time it is not so.

Hapur’s cabbage became the reason
Now, due to the arrival of closed cabbage in Hapur area, suddenly the price of closed cabbage has come down and the cabbage which was being sold at Rs 15 to 20 per kg in the market. Its price has come down to two to three rupees per kg. The same amount of money is spent in cutting the crop from the field and taking it to the market. Due to which the cost of the farmer is not being met even the far away mandi expenses.

Farmer Vikas Kumar told that it cost ten thousand rupees to grow one bigha of cabbage. But now only tractor has to be operated on the crop. Because the prices have come down even below the expectations.
