Many individuals had been taken into custody in this raid. In protest towards this motion, PFI staff had gathered outdoors the workplace of the District Collector in Pune, Maharashtra on Friday. During this, slogans of Pakistan Zindabad had been raised. Now a case has been registered beneath the fees of sedition concerning this matter.
On this matter, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis mentioned, “Two different videos have come and they will be investigated, but in Maharashtra if someone raises Pakistan Zindabad slogans, we will not spare them. We have under sedition charges.” Case has been registered.”
“Slogans like this will not be tolerated in the state”
Earlier, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had mentioned that such slogans wouldn’t be tolerated in the state. CM Shinde had mentioned in a tweet that, “The police system will take appropriate action against him. Such slogans will not be tolerated in the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.” The purported video exhibits Pakistan Zindabad slogans being raised when PFI staff had been being detained throughout Friday’s protests.
PFI had protested
The PFI had organized a protest outdoors the District Collector’s workplace to condemn the nationwide crackdown on the group and the arrest of its staff. Several protesters had been detained in the course of the demonstration. Raids had been carried out throughout the nation on Thursday beneath the management of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). During this, 106 PFI leaders and activists had been arrested for supporting terrorist actions in the nation.
