Gadkari said, ‘When our government came in 2014, projects worth Rs 3.85 lakh would have been closed due to various reasons. But, to complete this project, we took the initiative. We spoke various banking languages and removed many difficulties in them. We took forward the subjects related to land acquisition and non-registration of states. We saved three lakh crore rupees from the bank’s debt. During the Corona period, some projects would have been given extension. Aata such prakalp hi rakhadlyaye prakalpchanchya list aale hai. Projects have been delayed due to various reasons including those from contractors or other issues beyond our control. We will take care of all the incomplete and long pending projects within three months and complete the projects at the earliest. Efforts will be made to get the approval from the Conservation and Environment Department as soon as possible.

In order to avoid delay in projects due to non-availability of land, the government is taking care that projects will be started only after 80 percent of the required space is notified under section 3 (d) of the National Highways Act, 1956.
