Mumbai: Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray faction leader Sanjay Raut on Friday said that he has accused Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narayan Rane against him in public forums. Legal notice has been sent for making “baseless allegations”. Raut said that Rane should prove his allegations leveled against him or else apologize to him.

Sanjay Raut tweeted, “Narayan Rane is making baseless allegations against me and the Shiv Sena. He should prove his allegation or else apologise. I have sent him a legal notice through my lawyer Sarthak Shetty. Jai Maharashtra.”
Narayan Rane used to make baseless allegations about me and Shiv Sena from the public platform as well as through mediums. He proved these allegations. Otherwise, apologize. Through my lawyer Sarthak Shetty, I have served him a notice regarding legal action.

Rane is one of the fiercest critics of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his faction Shiv Sena. The war of words between Rane and Raut has become more intense. Former chief minister Rane was earlier in the Shiv Sena and left the party after differences with Uddhav Thackeray. (agency)
