All the organizations that have entered the fray are trying their level best at their respective levels. Apart from meeting the teachers in the colleges, they have also started door-to-door contact campaign. At the same time, the candidates for the graduation class have been using social media.
This time, fierce fighting is being seen on 10 seats of teachers. The main reason for this is that professor wives and sons of some officers are also standing in the elections. According to the rules, officers cannot go to colleges and campaign. This is the reason why they are contacting professors by visiting their homes. One of the reasons for the emphasis of all the organizations is that the elections for the teachers’ constituencies are going to be held in January. These professors will also be voters for that election. On the other hand, social media is being used fiercely by the candidates for the graduation class. Contact campaign has been intensified on the basis of name in voter list.
This time the number of voters in the graduate class has increased. Most of the candidates are trying their luck for the second-third term while some organizations have also given opportunities to the fresh candidates in the teacher category. These are the candidates in whose influence the number of professors is more. Voting will be held on November 20 for the first phase of elections. The counting of votes will take place on November 22. On November 30, voting will be held for the graduate class. A total of 95 polling stations have been set up in 4 districts for the elections. The counting of votes will take place on December 2. The preparations are also going on in full swing from the side of the university administration.

In fact, objecting to the electoral process, Prashant Dekate and two other members contesting the Senate elections approached the High Court. After hearing the petition on Monday, the judge issued notices to the vice-chancellor, registrar and others and ordered them to file their reply by November 21. This is the reason why everyone’s eyes are fixed on the election to be held on November 30 for the graduate seat.
