Mumbai: Under the Right to Education Act in Maharashtra, the registration process for admission to 25% RTE reserved seats in private schools of the state has started from March 1. . Its information has been given by the Directorate of Primary Education and the list and process of certificates required for admission has been given. Parents apply for lottery for admission process more than once in India. However, filling more than one application has been banned from this year. The Education Department has clarified that if a student is found filling more than one application form, then his/her application will not be considered for the lottery. In the private schools of the state, RTE admissions are done with 25% reservation. It gives admission to the backward, economically weaker and minority sections of the society. Maximum 10 schools will have to be selected while filling the application form under RTE. For that we have to decide the location of school from home with Google Maps. In this, parents will be able to correct the location only five times.

Which documents are required?

At the time of admission, for the application in RTE, there can be proof of residence from Driving License, Adhar Card, Residence, Voter ID Card, Bank Passbook. Apart from this, various documents such as proof of date of birth, medical proof for disabled children, proof of annual income coming from economically weaker sections, essential certificates for orphan children, proof of widow/divorced women’s mother- Deposit has to be made by the father (Mother-Father).

Last date for submission of application

Application for admission under RTE will start from 3 pm on 1st March 2023. Parents can apply till March 17, 2023 at 12 noon.

When will the lottery be drawn?

Online Lottery Date will be announced after completing the online application process. Lottery will be drawn in a single phase for 25% reserved seats. The waiting list will be announced according to the seats in the school. The education department has also clarified that students selected in the lottery will be given enough time to complete the admission process. The parents of the students will have to complete the admission process with the documents.
