A youth riding a bike died after being hit by a trailer on Sunday morning in front of Ring Road Hariballampur village. While the other injured was admitted to the hospital by his colleagues. The Cholapur police pulled out the body buried under the wheel of the trailer and took it into custody. And the driver fled leaving the trailer. Cholapur police seized the vehicle. Based on the registration number on the bike, the youth has been identified as Ausanganj Jaitpura. According to the Cholapur police, the registration of the bike is in the name of Savita Soni, a resident of Ausanganj. His verification is being done by the Jaitpura police.
According to the people around, in front of Hariballampur village under Cholapur police station, four to five bike-riding youths were having a bike race with each other on the ring road. Suddenly the bike became uncontrolled and two youths riding on it fell on the road. Rajat Verma (32), a resident of Digiya, Jaitpura, died on the spot as soon as he came under the wheels of the trailer that came from behind. While the other injured youth was picked up by some of his friends and taken to the hospital. According to the police, the trailer has been seized. The dead body has been kept in the mortuary house at Shivpur.
