Chennai: The Bharatiya Janata Party has suffered a major setback in Tamil Nadu. According to information, the head of the Information Technology (IT) branch of the Tamil Nadu unit, C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar (CTR Nirmal Kumar) resigned on Sunday, targeting the party’s state president K Annamalai. Hours after announcing his resignation, he met AIADMK interim chief K.K. Palaniswami (KK Palaniswami) and joined his party. Significantly, the atmosphere in the state is very bad. Politics is going on across the country regarding this.
Kumar, in a statement uploaded on his Twitter account, accused the party’s state leadership of neglecting the workers. He also accused Annamalai of “surveillance” of several people.

Kumar, who lives in Madurai, said, “Nothing is more humiliating than rejoicing over the surveillance of your party members and office-bearers.” He said that BJP is not even 20 per cent of what it was in 2019 after taking over the reins of Annamalai. He later met Palaniswami here and joined the AIADMK.
