Keeping in view the plight of potato farmers, the state government has given a big relief to them. The government will now buy potatoes at the rate of Rs 650 per quintal. In the first phase, instructions have been given to start purchase by setting up potato purchase centers in seven districts i.e. Farrukhabad, Kaushambi, Unnao, Mainpuri, Etah, Kasganj and Bareilly.
