The nomination of the former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb for the Banamalipur assembly constituency has been announced. Elsewhere, Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee will be the candidate. Chief Minister Manik Saha has been given candidature from Town Bardowali assembly constituency. Union minister Pratima Bhowmick’s boat is also listed as a candidate. BJP has given him the candidature from Dhanpur assembly constituency.
BJP has also given candidature of two Muslim leaders. Candidates have been given to Taffazal Hossain from Boxnagar and Mohammad Mobeshar Ali from Kailashahar constituency.

12 candidates announced in second phase
BJP has already declared the names of the candidates for the first listed 48 seats. The names of 12 more candidates are yet to be announced by the BJP. It is said that there is a possibility of inclusion of some new boats mentioned in the second list. List issued by BJP, former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, is not a boat.

Three state elections announced
The Central Election Commission has announced the assembly elections of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura in North East India on 18th January. Polling will be held in Tripura on 16th. And on February 27, polling will be held in Nagaland and Meghalaya. Matomojani of three states will be held on 2nd March.
Meanwhile, the Congress has also announced the names of 17 candidates for the Tripura Assembly elections. In Tripura, there will be a challenge between the Dawe Paksha and the Congress alliance in front of the BJP.
