Rajasthan: In Rajasthan’s Udaipur district, the Udaipur-Ahmedabad railway track was blown up by miscreants on Sunday. The repair work of the railway track has been completed. Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway Captain Shashi Kiran said that the repair work of the damaged track was completed at 3.30 pm on Sunday night. Its trial has also been done with a railway engine. Locals heard a loud bang on the tracks near Kevda ki Nal under Jawar police station area of Udaipur and informed the police on Sunday morning.
It is noteworthy that an attempt was made to damage the railway track between Jawar-Kharwa Chanda in Udaipur-Ahmedabad section under Ajmer division with a detonator. Civil police, railway officials reached the spot. A train was short terminated. The investigation is on after this incident.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that an attempt has been made to blow up the railway track using an explosive 35 km from Daipur. All the people doing this kind of work will be caught and punished. ATS, Railway and NIA teams are investigating.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday directed the Director General of Police of the state to get to the bottom of the incident. Expressing concern over the incident, Gehlot said, “The incident of damage to the railway tracks on the Oda railway bridge on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad rail route is worrisome.”
