LudhianaCongress Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, grandson of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, on Sunday claimed that he had received a phone threat of dire consequences if he did not stop speaking against pro-Khalistan activist Amritpal Singh. . Bittu is a three-time MP. He is the grandson of Beant Singh, who was assassinated in 1995.
On Thursday, Amritpal’s supporters broke barricades and entered a police station compound in Ajnala. Some of them had swords and guns in their hands. The supporters were demanding the release of Amritpal’s arrested aide Lovepreet Singh alias Toofan. Kidnapping accused Lovepreet came out of jail on Friday.
