Some videos of protests and clashes with police have gone viral. In this, the police can be seen beating up people. According to reports, the police were seen brutally thrashing the protesting women. In a video, some police officers were seen dragging a woman.
In another video, thousands of people can be seen marching on the streets. Slogans of ‘No to War’ are being raised. According to Sky News, about 1,371 people protesting in 38 cities, including Moscow and St Petersburg, have been detained.
The police have also detained the protesting women. People say attacking Ukraine is wrong.
NATO threatens nuclear attack – Putin
President Putin accused Western countries of “nuclear blackmail” before announcing the deployment of 300,000 troops. He said that some big leaders of NATO are threatening to use nuclear weapons against Russia.
Putin said- If Western countries blackmail about the use of nuclear weapons, then Russia will also respond with all its might. We can go to any extent to protect our country. For this Putin has signed a decree regarding the mobilization of the army.
Putin facing opposition since the beginning of the war
On February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine. Putin has so far called it a special military operation. Since the beginning of the war, there were protests against Putin not only in Russia, but in many countries of the world. People also took to the streets in New York and Germany.
In New York, there was outrage against Putin’s decision to attack Ukraine. People took out a march here.
In Washington, people demonstrated in front of the Russian embassy. Thousands took to the streets of Manhattan carrying Ukrainian flags and placards to protest. Demonstrations were also held in the German capital Berlin against the Russian attack. People of many other countries including Japan, Hungary, France, Australia are strongly condemning the attack on Ukraine.
