Nashik : On one hand, the farmers of vegetables and fruits are worried due to the weather. Due to excessive cold, insects are being born in fruits and vegetables. On the other hand, the prices of agricultural commodities are increasing. A few months ago, the prices of vegetables had reduced in the city and district, but since last month, the prices have started increasing due to the decrease in the arrival of vegetables. Vegetable traders have revealed that the price of vegetables has increased by about Rs 5 to 15 per kg. Along with vegetables, the graph of the price of wheat and ready-made flour is also increasing continuously for the last two months. In such a situation, daily food has become expensive for the general public.

When the arrival of vegetables in the mandis was good, the prices were low, due to which people started saving in their pockets. Vegetables from rural areas such as Mhasrul, Shinde, Palse, Sinnar, Niphad, Girnare come to the market for sale in Nashik city. These days the prices of vegetables have increased in the market committee itself. Lady finger, ridge gourd, bitter gourd, which were available at Rs 40 to 50 per kg a few days ago, are now being sold at Rs 60 to 80 per kg. Tomato, onion prices are stable. Potato prices have increased. Potatoes are being sold at Rs 25 to 35 per kg. Vegetable sellers are anticipating an increase in prices till the arrival becomes normal. On the other hand, the prices of wheat and ready-made flour are also increasing rapidly. The grocery traders have such an idea that the price of new wheat will be reduced to some extent when it comes in the market.

Prices are increasing since the days of Diwali

An increase in the prices of wheat and ready-made flour is being seen after Diwali. Wheat which was sold at Rs 30 to 32 per kg is now being sold at Rs 45 to 47 per kg. Prepared wheat flour of various well-known companies was earlier being sold for Rs.30-35. But now the same flour is being sold at Rs 45 to 47 per kg.
