Prayagraj Sangam: Drones will keep an eye on the work of Magh Mela, Chief Secretary reviewed the preparations A to Z Counsel

The works of Magh Mela will be monitored through drones. The tasks will also be reviewed on a daily basis. Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat reviewed the preparations in a meeting held through video conferencing on Wednesday. Along with this, it was directed that every two-three days, the progress report should be sent after getting the verification done by drone.

In the meeting held at ICCC on November 24, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed to take this Magh Mela as a trial for the preparations for Mahakumbh-2025. Seeing this seriousness of the government, the Divisional Commissioner himself has taken command. In this sequence, the Principal Secretary reviewed the preparations on Wednesday.

The Principal Secretary instructed to make Magh Mela polythene free this time also. To ensure this, instructions were given to promote Pattal as an alternative. The Principal Secretary talked about allotment of land by making a map. So that, the dispute between the institutions can be reduced. He instructed to complete all the works by December 20. The Principal Secretary said that after December 20, he himself would inspect the works.

In this sequence, Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant told that this time there will be uniformity in the vending zone. Apart from this, like Kumbh-2019, a 500-bed dormitory will also be made. Mela officer Arvind Chauhan gave information about other preparations for Magh Mela.

Magh Mela will be included in Swachh Bharat Mission
Magh Mela area will also claim for the Swachh Bharat Award this time under the Swachh Bharat Mission. For this a survey of the area will be done. The Principal Secretary gave necessary instructions in this regard.
