The Anti Corruption Branch of CBI, Lucknow arrested Neeraj Kumar Kaushal, Senior Auditor, posted in Principal Controller of Defense Accounts (PCDA), Pension Office, Cantt., on charges of accepting bribe. After his arrest, he was taken to Lucknow late at night. He will be produced before the remand magistrate on Saturday. This action was taken in collaboration with the Army Intelligence Unit of Prayagraj.
According to the CBI, senior auditor Neeraj Kumar Kaushal was demanding a bribe from the daughter of a retired army officer to get documents related to pension approved. After the death of the officer, his daughter was continuously requesting him for payment of dues like pension etc. Neeraj was asked to pay him a bribe of Rs 30,000, which he complained to the CBI.
