Police Flag Day was celebrated in Police Line on Wednesday. Flag hoisting was done at ADG Zone, Commissionerate Police Line and IG Range Office, PAC. Additional Director General of Police Varanasi Zone Ramkumar hoisted the flag in his office and directed all the police officers and employees to be alert and dutiful towards their duty. During this, the message sent by Director General of Police DS Chauhan was read out. On the other hand, in the Commissionerate Police Line, Commissioner of Police A Satish Ganesh hoisted the flag to his subordinate and shared its importance with the police officers and staff. IG Range K. Satyanarayana hoisted the flag.

Police Flag Day was celebrated at 34th Corps PAC Bhullanpur and 36th Corps PAC Ramnagar. On the occasion of Police Flag Day at Quarter Guard of 36th Corps, Ramnagar, Commander Anil Kumar Pandey respectfully saluted the police flag.
On the occasion of Police Flag Day at the ‘Quarter Guard’ of 34th Corps PAC, Deputy Commander Vinod Kumar respectfully saluted the police flag.
On this occasion, Assistant Commander Naresh Singh Yadav, Military Assistant Shivnarayan, Camp Pal Dev Pal, Subedar Major Vindhyavasini Pandey and other officers and employees of the corps were present.

Police Flag Day is celebrated every year on 23 November in UP. UP Police is the first state police force, which was awarded the Police Flag by the first Prime Minister of India on November 23, 1952, as a result of its immense contribution. On this day the PAC force also got the flag. On November 23, 1952, India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru presented the police color and flag to the Uttar Pradesh Police. The size of the flag is four feet long and three feet wide, the flag has two colors. It has red color on top and blue color on bottom. The flag was also presented to the PAC force on the same day. The day of 23 November holds special significance in the history of Uttar Pradesh Police.
